Fleas and Worms
All pets should be treated against fleas and worms on a regular basis.
Dogs and puppies
We believe all puppies should be wormed against roundworms every 3-4 weeks until 6 months of age and thereafter wormed at least four times a year (more frequently in some pets, depending on their habits).against round and tapeworm. Dogs may be wormed with tablets, pastes, powders on the food or drops on the back of the neck.
Cats and Kittens
Cats and kittens likewise require worm treatment every 3-4 weeks until they are 6 months of age. Thereafter we recommend four times a year, but it may be necessary to treat a cat which is a prolific hunter more frequently.
Rabbits
It is recommended that rabbits should be treated for worms routinely 2-4 times a year.
General advice
All animals (including rabbits) should be treated regularly to prevent them from getting fleas. Fleas feed on an animal for a few days before they start to lay eggs. The flea egg then drops off the animal onto the carpet or bedding, where it can lie dormant for several months. When conditions are favourable, all the young fleas can be activated within a short period leading to a severe flea infestation. Treatment of such an infestation means treating both the pet and the environment. As prevention is much easier and cheaper than treating an infestation, we recommend routine flea treatment - for most products this involves treatment every 4 weeks.

Some of these products we can sell over the counter, but please note that some of the newer and more effective products are prescription only.
