Vet Practice Facilities
Routine consultations are carried out at both surgeries by appointment.
All routine surgery is conducted at the main surgery at Drump Road, Redruth where we have our surgical facilities and practice laboratory.
Animals requiring surgery are admitted between 8.30 and 9.30 am. After a pre op check the animal is given a premed injection and placed in one of our purpose built kennels. In these kennels they can be constantly watched both before and after their operation. After their operations most animals are fit to return home late afternoon or to go to CVETS for the night if required.
We will often ask to check animals 48/72 hours post operatively as a matter of routine to ensure they have fully recovered from their anaesthetic and to check their wounds are comfortable. Where appropriate, sutures are removed after 10 days. These free checks may be carried out by either a veterinary surgeon or by one of our team of nurses.
The practice has closed circuit anaesthesia, X-ray facilities, ultrasound dental descalers, cryosurgery/electrocautery facilities and a laboratory for carrying out routine blood and haematology examination.
